The Art & Language Journey in Italy

The Art & Language Journey in Italy is an intensive language course and a life touching experience. A journey through the Italian Art and Language, and a journey into yourself.
The course starts with each student presenting his/her "self-portrait". It can be a picture, a drawing, a poem, a text, a song...
YOU DON'T NEED TO BE AN ARTIST to create your self-portrait and to participate in this course.
You just need to be interested in exploring art, Italy and the human being!
The course develops with the analysis of some Renaissance masterworks: what they represent, how they are related to the Italian language and culture, how they are related to our person, how they can inspire us, how we can apply their brilliant insight to our daily life and work.

Corso di aggiornamento per insegnanti
This 'corso di aggiornamento' for teachers of Italian develops through the comparison of life in ancient Rome and in modern Italy. Anecdotes, interesting facts, readings and site visits make this course alive and informative.

During the course teachers have the opportunity to:

• experience life in Italy and practice the Italian language
• get new educational materials and teaching ideas to use with their students
• reflect upon their role as teachers of Italian

In each session teachers practice the Italian language (oral and written form), discuss issues about teaching (approach, method, materials...) and compare life in ancient and modern times.

The price for each weekly course (including stay and double room - see studios in hospitality) is 500 Euro per person – period July and August - and 450 Euro other periods. Minimum 3 students per course, maximum 10.

Classes are 5 days a week, 4 hours per day in the morning, so the afternoon is free for other activities.
Classes are held by a CyberItalian instructor (www.cyberitalian.com). Upon successful completion of a course, students shall receive the CyberItalian Certificate of Participation.
During the course, participants practice the language and the culture intensively.
